Tips for this CV

  • State your English level plainly, such as Upper Intermediate, or C1 if you've a test to back it. 963 of our 2,320 adverts on 1 November 2026 mention English, and 104 name C1. A call centre will usually test you on the phone.
  • Write your degree the way your certificate does: faculty, university, graduation year and grade, such as Very Good. A new graduate puts this above any work experience.
  • Men: add one line on military status only when the advert asks. 39 of our adverts mention it. Write it as your certificate states it, and keep the certificate ready.
  • Leave out your national ID number, photo, religion and marital status unless the advert asks. A plain column with no photo reads best in the employer's system.
  • Name your area, such as Nasr City or 6th of October, not only Cairo. Employers with shift work or a staff bus want to know where you'd travel from.

English is the working language of the adverts we collect: on 1 November 2026, 963 of our 2,320 adverts in Egypt mention it, 284 mention Arabic and 104 name the C1 level. So this builds an English CV, in the plain form that an employer's applicant system can read. It has no photo field on purpose. Add a photo only if an advert asks for one.

What should a CV for Egypt have?

Name, area, phone with +20, and a professional email at the top. Then a two line profile that says what you can do. A graduate puts education next: faculty, university, year and grade. Anyone with experience puts jobs first, newest on top, with two or three results each.

  • Languages, each with a level you could prove on the phone.
  • Software and tools, named: Excel, SAP, AutoCAD, not computer skills.
  • Your graduation project, if you're new. Say what you did yourself.
  • Military status for men, one line, only if the advert asks. 39 of our adverts mention it.

What should I leave off?

Your national ID number, your full home address, your religion and your marital status. Nobody needs those to shortlist you, and CVs get passed around. Hand over ID papers when there's a real offer, and ask for a receipt for anything you leave with the firm. Article 89 of Labour Law 14 of 2025 says you should get one.

English or Arabic?

Send the language of the advert. 284 of our adverts mention Arabic, and an advert written in Arabic can take an Arabic CV. This tool writes in whatever you type, though its headings stay in English. So for an Arabic CV, you'll want to change those by hand after you save it.

What papers will I need once I get the job?

A CV gets you the interview. After that, the labour office registration certificate (kaab amal) asks for your ID, qualification, military status and insurance number, so it's worth checking those before you're in a hurry.

Questions people ask

Is this CV maker really free?

Yes. No signup, no payment, no watermark. Your CV stays in this browser until you delete it. Clear it if you're on a shared computer.

Should an Egyptian CV have a photo?

Not unless the advert asks. A plain column with no photo reads best in applicant systems, which is how many employers here take applications.

How long should it be?

One page for a new graduate, two at most for most others. Cut anything that doesn't help with this job.
